VHS Betacam SP DVCam DVC Pro Mini DV DVD/VCD Standard or micro audio cassette
Digital file formats wav, mp3, dct (encrypted dictation), ra and rm (RealAudio), sri (VoiceIt), dss (Olympus, Lanier and Grundig), au, aif, msv, dvf, mp2, vox, compressed wav (including PCM, uLaw, ALaw, ADPCM, CELP, SBC, Windows Media, DSP TrueSpeech, GSM 6.10), Philips Digital Recorder format, Sanyo Digital Recorder format.
If you have a format other than the ones listed, please call beforehand to see if we can accommodate your project.
We recommend that you use a HiFi Stereo VHS deck in SP mode. Dubs in SLP or EP often result in your audio being classified as Type 2 because of the poor audio quality.
Tapes should be cued to where we are to begin transcribing. If your tape is not rewound to the beginning we will assume you want the transcription to begin where the tape is cued.
For timecode projects we require a VHS tape with a timecode window on the screen (if you need us to add the timecode then see Pricing for Creating a Timecode.)
If a digital audio file is supplied along with the video source, you will receive a $10.00 discount on projects over $200.00.
We request that you do not send your masters unless absolutely necessary. Although we take precautions to protect and handle all material as highly confidential and valuable, we ask that you submit materials that are of zero ($0.00) commercial value as we will not be responsible for lost or damaged tapes.
